The internet and the vehicle are no longer separate. Vehicles are now merging into the digital eco-system and becoming devices in their own right. Cloud connectivity is driving this transition from isolated car to connected car. The connected car offers the driver a new world of possibilities. Systems update automatically, cars can communicate with each other, and traffic data is always accurate.

The car infotainment system receives continuous updates from the cloud backend. Data and content are always up to date, and the driver’s information is always reliable. Our solutions take full advantage of the connected car, making life easier for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. We work with a network of industry partners (e.g. TomTom) to solve automotive challenges.

We are looking for an Android Developer to work in the field of auto electronics. You will be a part of an international team working on-site in Germany in the BOSCH office. The BOSCH Company is a world leader in the research and development of electronic systems in the car voice control, implementing the concept of Connected Car and other innovative mobile solutions for cars. MySPIN system, developed by BOSCH, is an integration solution for smartphones that allows you to quickly and comfortably integrate smartphones into the infotainment system of a vehicle. BOSCH infotainment systems are used by all leading automobile groups in Hannover, Germany

Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
  • Experience in Java as well as in developing complex Android Apps
  • Experience in working with development tools: AndroidStudio, Eclipse, GIT, Jira and Bamboo
  • Design Patterns / Multithread Applications
  • Desirable: Xcode, SCRUM- and iOS-experience

Responsibilities:

  • Full development of mobile applications for Android systems from the first idea to production-ready
  • Development of the low-level libraries, which can make the most of the opportunities offered by the platform
  • Development of innovation solutions in Mobile Internet Services in the automotive sector
  • Further development of Eco Systems to be used by Smartphones in a car: mySPIN

Benefits:
