Many countries require that all workers coming from abroad request a visa.
For all jobs listed on this site, the company will entirely sponsor your visa, which means you do not need to have any current visa status, or do anything special.
Some jobs you see don't have tiles, either because their country doesn't require visas, or because they haven't decided which visas fit them best and are open to talk about it; but tile or no tile, they will all sponsor your visa if needed.
Some tips for jobseekers…
For most countries that require visas, the type of visa you're eligible to mostly depends on… you!
For the most obscure of them, place your mouse over the tile, and you will get a quick explanation of the typical constraints*.
From there, there are two typical ways for things to happen:
- Either you first apply to the job you're interested in, without worrying about visas, get interviewed by the employer, and if the fit seems right, the employer will help you figure out what visa is good for you towards the end of the process.
- Or, to have a significant advantage, you can first talk with an immigration attorney about your case, so that you can list what visas you're eligible to as soon as you start talking with the employer.

Jesper - thanks for the quick reply. I don't currently have a work permit/visa and, according to <gov.uk>, the Tier 2 visa shortage occupation list only allows this functional role in the "2D/3D computer animation" field. Too bad - I easily meet all other visa requirements and would have jumped at a chance to live in Central London for a few years. I hope that you find the right person for the job. Thanks Tom - best of luck to you!
I am a DevOps Engineer for FreightWatch Intl in Austin, TX looking for an opportunity to live abroad for a couple of years. We lived in Aberdeen from 1991 to 1993 and loved it. My responsibilities at FreightWatch cover the entire lifecycle (dev, qa, stg, prod) from check-in through deployment, including building and managing the production environment (managed hosts at Rackspace) and managing all environments and tools. We are an agile shop employing the Atlassian tool suite and building our product using Java, GWT, Eclipse, Subversion, Ant, Jenkins. We build to RPM's and all configuration is in code. In addition to working abroad, I am very interested in moving to cloud deployment. I am deeply familiar (15yrs) with Java and Linux (15yrs), have a passing familarity with ElasticSearch and have been doing R&D (toward future deployment architecture) with Docker. Would I be suitable for this role?

Hi, Thanks for the question. Your skill set does indeed seem quite pertinent for the position. Do you have the visa required to work in the UK? If so, I'd be happy to have a chat with you regarding the details and how you may fit in the role. Regards, Jesper
