For our client – US digital company, we are looking for a Director of Technology – CTO/GM to be located in Kyiv/Ukraine

to help the Engineering team in Kyiv build and scale the first of its kind cross-platform video analytics service.

Responsibilities:

• Increases organizational effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, and counseling managers and employees
• Communicates corporate values, strategies, and objectives to the team
• Develops strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities, presents assumptions and recommends objectives
• Works closely with the engineering, product management and other stakeholders to develop the scope and requirements of projects that the team will engage in
• Drives a predictable and transparent sprint process to accomplish team goals
• Ensures product delivers desired business value by monitoring, operating, and improving the systems the team is responsible for
• Leads the team technically and culturally, creating an environment that is highly collaborative and conducive to delivering quality results
• Schedules and attends regular team meetings to discuss about business updates, issues and recommendations
• Responds to employee concerns in timely manner
• Manages orientations and exit interviews for employees
• Travels to the US a few times a year

• Skills
• At least 10 years’ experience as a successful software engineer, of which at least 3 years as a team lead or manager
• Hands on experience with one or more of Python, Angular.js, ElasticSearch, Spark, or User Experience
• Demonstrated success in growing, managing, and leading a cross-functional engineering team
• Experience at building and driving an agile software development process
• Experience building and running applications with Amazon Web Services is a plus
• Proficient in English
• Experience working with international teams
