POSITION DUTIES: * Serve as Scrum Master – lead the development teams each consisting of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers and Product managers to ensure timely delivery of product increments using the Scrum methodology and Agile concepts. * Create burn-down charts, collect metrics for monthly operational reviews, and report back to product and engineering teams the success and progress. * Remove organizational as well as technical impediments for the teams to allow them to execute on product and engineering delivery. * Perform duties as manager – hire new team members for the engineering team (software engineers and quality engineers), hold weekly 1on1s, quarterly and annual reviews to assess talent and enable growth of individuals as well as the team overall. * Review and improve software development processes to allow scaling of team as well as applications and service according to Taulia’s business needs and customer demands. * Travel to other Taulia engineering offices to collaborate on product release planning, process streamlining, HR standards, provide training and review general Taulia best-practices to assure compliance with Taulia’s audits, requirements and contracts. * Perform code reviews. * Be the lead for Taulia’s Scrum Master community of practice to enable other teams world-wide to follow Taulia’s Scrum process and improve processes in concert with other engineering managers, the architecture team as well the QE, Operations and product management teams. * Periodic Travel to other Taulia engineering offices required.
Employer will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science or closely-related field of concentration plus 2 years experience in job offered or computer-related occupation.
Education or experience must include: * Working on Cassandra, Jersey, ActiveMQ and MongoDB; * Developing financial services software in Groovy and Java; * Performing and administering code reviews with git via Github; * Working with globally distributed development teams; * Building Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable finance software; * Integrating with SAP ERP, Oracle e-business suite and PeopleSoft; * Defining and building a software as a service (SaaS) product; * Supply Chain Domain; * Writing code in a professional setting inclusive of front end, back end and middle tier i.e. full stack; * Building a cloud based product including experience with scalability issues with millions of daily transactions; * Performing Integrations through SOAP and REST APIs with 3rd party SaaS applications; * Developing software and leading teams that develop software that is deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS); * Collecting metrics and creating reports based off metrics and monitoring software New Relic, RightScale and Graylog2.
Periodic Travel to other Taulia engineering offices required
