Skills

• Expert knowledge of JavaScript
• Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS)
• Experience developing rich applications with HTML/CSS/JS
• Intimate knowledge of cross-browser and cross-device development
• Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testing
• Aware of but not reliant on MVC Frameworks

Bonus experience:

• Experience with SVGs
• Experience with graphics programming
• Experience in building design
• Experience with Java or Python
• An interest in user interface design

Responsibilities

• Work with Product Designers and founders to build a next-generation web application with a focus on an exceptional client-side experience
• Build efficient and reusable frontend abstractions and systems
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Communicate with other team members to determine the best solutions to difficult problems
• Identify and communicate best practices for frontend engineering
• Interact with our backend systems
• Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
• 3+ years of experience building web applications BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Use a spacer.gif in our email templates every now and then
