The ideal candidate will join our team working at our client on their IT environment management team of an international investment company. This role involves working in the Front Office environment and in the preproduction application support.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Achieve preproduction support, incident management and request processing
  • Perform applications deliveries in several environments (including production)
  • Actively participate in resolving users’ problems in a timely manner and, where necessary, identify problems and escalate to the development team
  • Perform corrective maintenance and optimization on environments
  • Solve complex problems at the applicative and technical level
  • Have a deep understanding of the application internal and external architecture and flows
  • Document and propose sustainable solutions to tackle recurrent business issues
  • Cooperate with multidisciplinary teams (development, quality assurance and global assistance teams, etc.) in several locations (Europe, Americas, Asia) in both French and English (spoken and written)
  • Prepare and secure the rollout in production
  • Coordinate the release process from the development team to the production delivery
  • Automate and industrialize the team processes and procedures

Required Qualifications

Availability:

  • Work in shifts, covering a period from 8am to 6pm in 2 shifts
  • From time to time, planned releases after 6pm or during the weekends (around once per month or less)
  • Possible training abroad for a period of 2-3 weeks (New-York, USA and/or Paris, France)

Technical Skill Set:

  • Sound knowledge of Unix (Linux) and Windows environments
  • Sound knowledge of SQL technology, in multiple RDBMS(Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL)
  • Experience with Unix and SQL scripting
  • Experience with Powershell, KSH scripting
  • Experience in .NET and/or Java development
  • Sound knowledge of various service management systems (Remedy, Service Now, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with Scheduling systems (Autosys, UC4 orDollar Universe, etc.)
  • Knowledge / understanding of monitoring tools (Tmon/Sterling, SNMP, Zabbix, Cacti, Nagios, etc.)
  • Knowledge / understanding of network protocols (tcp/ip, ftp, sftp, ssh, scp, dns, etc.)

Soft skills:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in IT
  • Bilingual (French, English)
  • Team spirit, open-mindedness and flexibility
  • Concern for work well done and respect of schedules/procedures
  • Ability to learn complex systems and concepts
  • Ability to be multi-tasking and manage priorities
  • Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good client management and interpersonal skills
  • Accountable
  • Degree or training in finance, accounting or banking
  • Experience in a Corporate Investment Banking environment
  • Experience abroad or in a multicultural environment
  • ITIL certification
