Company Description

Gasport is an innovative mobile platform that connects regular drivers with near low cost gas stations, helping the formers to save money and time when refuelling and gas stations to promote themselves and increase their sales. In a few months we already have +15.000 downloads and we are piloting our solution in one Gas Station in Barcelona Metropolitan Area. 

We are a young company but with lots of energy, We are on our track to find a way to help people save ~250€/year on the third more important expense (transportation), and half the time. 

We have been accelerated at Founder Institute and Fbstart.com (by Facebook). 

We are currently based at Barcelona Activa Incubator office in Poblenou.

Job Description

At Gasport.es we are looking for a full-time Lead Developper to work for a fast-growing, innovative product. We want to create a multicultural environment that helps fostering collaboration and learning. We offer the challenge to lead the Technology area at Gasport.es and a sizeable amount of equity to join our young startup.

We need a Full Stack Developer to lead the solution development and its technological design. The future Lead Developer has to be passionate about technological challenges, have business orientation and leadership skills.

This figure will become a foundational part of the team (as a future CTO). We require the candidate to  to live in the Barcelona Area.

Knowledge and experience:

Existing technology stack:  PHP, Laravel, Java, Mysql, Mongo DB, Microsoft Azure Cloud, Github,

Minimum competencies required:

• 4 years of experience in Web Development and 2 years in App.

• Existing Technology Stack: Ionic/Cordova, PHP (required), Laravel (required), Mysql, Mongo DB, Github, agile methodologies (SCRUM). It’s not necessary to know all of the technology stack.

• Management and team leadership skills.

• Spanish and English.

• Technical education: Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar.

Desirable:

• Payment gateways.

• Integration with Analytics and Digital Marketing Tools.

• Start-up previous experience.

Soft skills

• Results oriented and highly motivated to code himself as initially he will have a very small team.

• Responsible, hard worker and with leadership skills.

• Good technological vision and capable of taking decisions under uncertainty.

• Passionate for the challenge to design the technology architecture of the Company.

• Ability to choose the right balance between efficient and stable/good code solutions.

• High communications skills and oriented to other business areas.

• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Our Lead Developer initially should get involved on software development and code whatever is needed so that projects get on time and with good code quality.

• He will be the future CTO, responsible to define the technology strategy and architecture.
