Our client is a leading author of integrated business management software. The portfolio spans solutions for ERP, finance, HR, payroll, warehousing, business intelligence, professional service automation and manufacturing.

 

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience architecting and building secure, highly performant and scalable web-based systems using the Microsoft ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET WebApi and AngularJS frameworks
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 - using C#
  • .NET MVC
  • Using Razor with HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Ajax, J-Query
  • Optimisation techniques such as minification & bundling
  • LESS/SASS, AngularJS, TypeScript
  • .NET Web API & Restful API design
  • Dependency Injection (NInject)
  • JSON, XML, WCF
  • T-SQL (Microsoft SQL Server) – writing performant T-SQL code
  • Continuous Integration (TeamCity / Jenkins / Bamboo etc…)
  • Unit Testing Frameworks (NUnit etc…)
  • PowerShell Scripting – scripting predominantly for deployment to environments such as IIS
  • Multi-threading
  • TDD/BDD/Agile/Scrum
  • Source Control using SVN
  • Analysis tools such as Glimpse / Fiddler / Wireshark / SQL Profiler etc

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ‘big picture’ design of solutions, draw on experience and ‘gut feel’ to identify risk, and help drive an appropriate response from the team, whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • Use well-known frameworks and best practises to build and maintain high quality, well-written, HTML5-based user interfaces using ASP.NET MVC, AngularJS and TypeScript, amongst others
  • Use REST techniques to build accessible, scalable and evolvable APIs that are robust and stand the test of time
  • Advise, agree on and implement coding standards with the wider team, and actively partake in code reviews to maintain standards
  • Debug code that you have produced as well as code produced by others, and help others within the team to do the same
  • Work closely with the QA team to ensure that automated test coverage is maximised for minimal cost, helping the team to maintain and improve their overall efficiency
  • Be prepared to test your own work and that of others to ensure quality
  • Attend sprint-related meetings including planning, design, scrum and review meetings to contribute to direction, showcase your work to the business, receive feedback and drive team progress through your enthusiasm and focus
  • Document work that needs to be done and work that has already been done in an appropriate format for the audience which may be non-technical (including video with voiceover as well as written content), and using Access’ processes and procedures
  • DevOps activity (sometimes out of hours) including software releases to production, monitoring, and reacting to (investigating/resolving) issues
