Marketing Engineer Intern

San Francisco, CA

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, talented engineering intern to help our rapidly growing business grow even faster. You’ll build thoughtfully designed web pages that inspire both new and existing users. You are passionate about consumer web applications. You’ll be a part of the growth marketing team and work closely with the engineering and design teams to ship code daily.

This internship requires at least a 6-month commitment. Full-time opportunity may be available at conclusion of internship.

Responsibilities

  • Create beautiful standards-compliant HTML pages and use JavaScript to bring them to life
  • Design everything to scale to hundreds of thousands of page views on the full spectrum of screen sizes and platforms
  • Develop reusable application components and standards
  • Build mockups and prototypes; collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to refine concepts
  • Produce high-quality code, test it, collaboratively review it, and ship it
  • A/B test extensively

Position Requirements

  • Hands-on expertise with HTML, CSS/LESS, and JavaScript
  • A critical eye for design and usability
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn web/marketing analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, KISSmetrics, Optimizely, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Sketch is a plus
  • Experience working in rapid growth environment that requires flexibility and continuous innovation
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with tight deadlines
