About THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Engineer who has a passion for quality software. This person seeks out strategies and technologies to automate tedious tasks out of their everyday life. We believe in Continuous Integration and are on our way to implementing Continuous Deployment. All of this happens in an Agile environment on a cross functional team.

This role is for a QA Engineer that will integrate our operations cross functional team. This team mission is to ensure our internal tools are as efficient as possible and that our customers are having the best experience on receiving and returning orders.

Tasks and Duties

• Drive innovation by coming up with new and surprising ideas and constructive criticism
• Work with developers and product owners to establish requirements
• Exploratory testing
• Engage with our team leads on priorities, short-term & long-term issues
• Improve the overall quality of our products through extensive testing
• Provide feedback to our developers on strategies to improve software quality
• Develop automated testing systems and integrate them with our continuous software
• delivery process

Ideal Candidate

• Experience working in an Agile methodology environment
• Experience using continuous integration systems
• Defect reporting in issue management systems (Atlassian Jira preferred)
• Experience with Behat or other behaviour testing frameworks
• Experience with e-commerce backend systems that support internal operations.

Desirable

• Working knowledge of the e-commerce sector
• Work experience with agile project management (Scrum or Kanban)
• Familiar with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence and Bamboo)
