We specialize in IT Support and Development, as well as the redesign of business processes. Our NY team consists of 25 young technology professionals working at our client sites in Manhattan, and our Montreal team is comprised of 7 technology professionals. The successful candidate will join our US subsidiary, a 25 person team, and will be detached to our client site.

Position Objectives:

The role offers the chance to actively participate to the business growth of one of our major client’s quantitative team. The client & trading technology team of or client provides IT solutions dedicated to Front Office activities of the Capital Markets division. This department focuses especially on electronic markets, real-time trading, risk management solutions and sales applications.

Position Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join our client team, working alongside Trading, Sales and the Quant team to understand the business, gather requirements, and build robust tactical solutions that fit into the team’s development strategy. The solutions will be used predominantly by Traders as well as Quants. The successful candidate will be expected to build strong working relationships with fellow team members both locally and globally, as well as with clients at all levels. Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to: * Address any need of the trading desk which involves rapid intervention with strong IT capabilities & business knowledge. * Development in C#/Excel/VBA/SQL of pricing tools * Contribute in team core framework * Business analysis - Collect and synthesize trading desk needs for the NY development teams and insure these needs are correctly understood by IT teams.

Technical and Business Skills:

  • Core development in C# .NET, Excel, VBA, SQL
  • Experience of coding within a large financial analytics library
  • Able to code algorithms and numerical functions
  • Quantitative Finance: Vanilla Option Theory, Interest Rate Option, Bond Pricing
  • Mathematics: Descriptive statistics, Time Series Analysis, Interpolation, …

Desired:

  • Knowledge of ExcelDna would be a plus

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous work experience as a Front Office Developer

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Strong academic background in Mathematics/Science/Computing with an emphasis on Quantitative Analysis and Analytics.

Desired

  • MSc. in a Quantitative field (ie Applied Mathematics, Statistics & Probability, Financial Engineering, Computer Science)

Language

  • English
  • French is a great plus
