React Front End Developer at SpotOn Connections

Job description: 

Our client looking for new developers to join its rapidly expanding team based in
Malta. You will become part of our frontend team and will be developing bespoke
solutions for a number of clients and providing support to their existing code base.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all development work meets the customer expectations
  • Follow departmental quality standards
  • Adhere to application-governed JavaScript coding standards (documentation
  • available)
  • Produce adequate and informative documentation
  • Collaborate with QA in writing test plans
  • Review code and technical designs from peer developers
  • Efficiently analyse and debug code written by others or self
  • Promptly record development time
  • Promptly follow work schedule
  • Liaise with Project Managers
  • Contribute to the decision on the best technologies and languages used for
  • the project
  • Pro-actively stay up to date with new trends and advancements in web
  • development
  • Support and guide other Frontend Developers in their day-to-day tasks
  • Identify, report and resolve problems uncovered by QA Testing or client
  • feedback
  • Able to design solutions to meet client requirements
  • Regularly report to the Head of Development or Technical Director
Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required
  • Commercial Front End Development experience, ideally with experience of
  • Magento Commerce & Open Source platform
  • Strong technical skill set including writing code in HTML,
  • Javascript, XML, LESS and using libraries such as jQuery,
  • Knockout.js, webpack, React, redux and GraphQL
  • Good understanding of the core principles of Responsive Web Design
  • Familiarity with Progressive Web Apps and related coding languages and
  • libraries
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of Unix at a minimum of user-level
  • Understanding of Git version control
  • Ability and confidence to produce high-quality, well-documented code
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce websites is essential
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use design and general office applications
