Responsibilities
· Manage all levels of networking within EF Kids & Teens service environments which consist of corporate datacentre and Amazon cloud
· Include implementation of monitoring, reporting, deploying, refining and automating configurations on all networking resources, and working with external and internal users on networking issue troubleshooting
· Participate on the regular review, planning, audit of our hosted infrastructure for strategy and implementation
· Perform these responsibilities as an individual and as part of the team
· Diagnose and address issues in a timely and effective manner
· Act as technical expert to support application developing team in terms of network scaling and bring the designs from concept to production
· Continually think and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency, create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards
· Assist in system administration on our Linux/Windows servers in corporate datacentre and Amazon cloud
· Work closely with regional & global IT support teams to resolve or follow up any IT support requests
· In a secondary role, the network engineer will be expected to provide support extending beyond network in corporate datacentre and Amazon cloud
Skills & Experience
· Bachelor degree relatively in computer science and technology
· Minimum 6-8 year relevant experience in an enterprise environment supporting networking and IT infrastructure
· Minimum 3 year experience working with Amazon Web Services and/or Cloud based systems
· Thorough understanding of the OSI model and IP protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, RSVP, ISIS)
· Extensive experience with high availability edge networking, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, CDN, Load Balancer (iRule), SNMP, ACL, Firewall, WIFI)
· Extensive experience on automated server and network monitoring and alerting systems (Zabbix, Nagios, etc)
· Expert experience of networking services of AWS on a theoretical and practical level (EC2, EBS, VPC, Security Group, ELB, Auto Scaling, AZ, CloudWatch, etc)
· Strong background in maintaining and supporting virtual environments and virtual networking
· Hands-on experience implementing, supporting and designing highly available, cross-regional and large scale network infrastructure and topology
· In-depth knowledge of scripting language, major operating system, virtualization, storage, disaster recovery, monitoring/alert systems is highly desirable;
· Very strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills including ability to perform root cause analysis
· Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a diversified workload
· CCNP+ or AWS SA certified is a plus
