What will my first technical challenge be at Irdeto?
Irdeto's Conditional Access solution provides the means for our global customers (international TV/Broadcast Operators, Media Content Owners) to protect their premium content from piracy, by securing end-to-end delivery and encryption using both Hardware and Software components. In this team you will develop, test, deploy and maintain the applications that are currently being used to protect the delivery of content to millions of users across the globe
The technologies you will be working with: Embedded C, C++, Python, Jenkins, Coverty
About the team: You’ll work in a very collaborative scrum team consisting of talented Software Engineers and Software Engineers in Test.
About the day-to-day job: You will communicate directly with Product Owners to refine and adjust challenging requirements and play a key role in splitting the requirements into manageable user stories for yourself and the team. Most of your day will be spent on actual software development which involves the creation of component designs, coding, unit testing and some test automation (including the occasional performance testing and tuning). As we thrive on writing clean, high quality code, you will regularly use static code analysis, coverage metrics and do code reviews. You will simultaneously be working closely with the anti-piracy Engineers in our cyber security team (they sit in the same building!) to enable the productive usage of our tooling.
Sounds good! What do I need to bring to the team?
