We are Zalando’s ad-technology workbench and make use of a plethora of big data technology. Machine learning, high-level database modeling, metrics definition, trend analysis and report generation are crucial to our business. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer:

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Development of scalable, high performance web applications with Ember.js and a modern web-stack (CSS3, HTML5, WebSockets, etc.).

• Performance monitoring and ensuring a seamless user experience, while maintaining continual improvement efforts.

• Design and implement automated-testing (BDD, acceptance, CSS regression testing).

YOUR PROFILE

• You have completed your higher education in Computer Science / InformationsTechnology and have at least 3 years of experience in the field.

• You are a JavaScript expert, but also have strong skills in CSS (SCSS, BEM) and HTML.

• You have production and battle-tested experience with any modern javascipt framework (Ember.js, Angular, Backbone, Spine. etc). Ideally you have working knowledge of Ember.js, or a strong passion to use and learn it.

• You have engineering experience with building scalable MVC, event-based, modular, API-driven software.

• You can communicate in English and/or German
