Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our development team to lead in the design and implementation of our HAL+JSON APIs. You should value working in a team, have strong experience with agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban), be familiar with the Atlassian suite, New Relic and Nginx and have a passion for high performance scalable design and optimisation.

Task and Duties

• Software architecture and design for THE ICONIC’s APIs
• Implement new functionality and improve existing features based on business requirements
• Drive innovation by coming up with new and surprising ideas and provide constructive criticism
• Participate in code reviews and encourage pair programming
• Promote best standards and instilling best practices into our team
• Participate in our agile development process

Ideal Candidate

• 3-5 years PHP experience, preferably in developing high traffic websites
• Experience with Zend Framework / Zend Framework 2
• Exposure to web services like REST and SOAP
• Believes in the power of TDD and BDD
• Experience with Git version control
• Excellent written & verbal skills
• Advanced knowledge about software architecture and best practices
• Prior experience working in the e-commerce sector
