What will my first
technical challenge at Irdeto be?
Ever thought of being at the fore-front of preventing media piracy? The watermarking team’s challenge is to uniquely watermark movies without changing the configuration on the client device (we do this for multiple international TV Operators and Production Studios). We also ensure that any changes to the video being distributed illegally do not break the watermark and that the watermark is still detectable. Once the mark has been detected the source will be identified and switched off as quickly as possible to ensure disruption of the illegal viewing.
The technologies you’ll be working with: IPTV/Broadcast TV Media Codecs, Python, Linux, Jenkins, Git
About the team: You’ll work in a collaborative, multinational scrum team consisting of 5-10 talented Software Engineers and Software Engineers in Test.
About the day-to-day job: You will be involved in the complete Software Lifecycle (including design/code/execute/maintain automated test cases, continuous integration, results reporting). You will be testing real-time critical applications within the media coding domain. When there is no prior created test automation framework you will be using your programming skills to create it from scratch. Spotted a bug in the code? You’ll work collaboratively with the team & colleagues analyzing and debugging the code. Any reported issues from the field will also require your expertise to solve. Being part of our scrum team means you will be involved with estimation and planning. As we advocate clean code, you will be refactoring and looking to continuously improve the test automation code.
Sounds good! What do I need to bring to the team?
