ABOUT US

At Affirm we believe the financial industry is fundamentally broken. Not only is the core infrastructure built with technology from the 1970s, but there are a dwindling number of people who say "I trust my bank to look out for me". It doesn’t have to be this way, and it’s our mission to fix this problem. We are using technology to re-imagine and re-build core parts of financial infrastructure to enable cheaper, friendlier and more transparent financial products and services that improve lives. We are based in San Francisco; founded by Max Levchin (founding CTO PayPal), Jeff Kaditz (CDO DeNA/ngmoco), and Nathan Gettings (founding CTO of Palantir); and looking for exceptionally talented and passionate people to join us in our mission.

In this role you’ll be focused on building a revolutionary new type of financial instrument which will be Affirm’s first direct to consumer product.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with our product and design team to build innovative consumer financial products for the iOS platform.
  • Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest iOS programming techniques.
  • Collaborate with other mobile platform developers to make sure we have parity in our products across multiple native mobile platforms.
  • Work with the platform team to improve our APIs and optimize our mobile services.

REQUIRED

  • A passion for our mission
  • A track record and obsession for building exceptional native mobile user experiences on the iOS platform.
  • Experience shipping one or more Objective-C iOS apps.
  • Experience building complex applications in Objective-C/C++ with Cocoa and other frameworks.
  • Experience with 1 or more iOS tools for writing unit/functional tests.
  • Experience designing mobile optimized APIs and backend systems.
