Position Overview

At Fuze we are passionate about building software that enables teams to work together more effectively. We want to harness the power of video and high quality audio to build a meeting product that is intuitive, easy to use, reliable, elegant and above all visually stunning. This is possible only with high caliber front end developers who are passionate about the user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • As one of two people on the Fuze Mac Client, you will own a large part of the primary UX for our customers
  • Deliver the next set of features (which cannot mention publicly) that will continue to differentiate Fuze from the competition and delight our users
  • Write code in Objective-C, C & C++
  • Focus on graphics and user interface programming
  • Be involved in design reviews and give feedback to the design team
  • Quickly jump into and solve critical production issues whenever required
  • Perform code maintenance, testing, and analysis
  • Work in a scrum framework to deliver at high velocity, and have the aptitude and interest to be a scrum lead if needed

Position requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years’ experience
  • Solid understanding of Mac/OSX application development process
  • Proficiency in Xcode, Interface Builder and Instruments
  • Solid understanding of Core Data and Networking Technologies
  • Familiarity with OpenGL and 3D graphics is a plus
  • Having applications posted on the app store is a huge plus
  • In-depth understanding of object oriented concepts and software design patterns
  • Extensive experience in graphics and user interface programming
  • Extensive experience in multithreading and communication
  • Good at communicating technical subjects to a wide variety of audiences
  • Previous experience in developing using a Scrum methodology

A SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

In 3 months, you will have

  • Fully understood the Mac client code base and the overall client application architecture
  • Understood the technical architecture of Fuze service as it exists
  • Delivered the v1 of next gen features

In 6 months, you will have

  • Taken user and design feedback and iterated on two more versions of the next gen features
  • Refactored the code to get more commonality with the iOS code base
  • Invested heavily in automation

In 12 months, you will have

  • Changed meetings as the world knows them!
