Responsibilities:

You will have a key role in defining and deploying our test architecture and test strategy for navigation database compilers and navigation databases. You will be working with other architects to set-up a testable architecture for our compilation services that supports early defect detection. The test architecture will support our goal to deliver best-in-class products to highly demanding automotive companies like BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen.

Relevant responsibilities: 
• Define and maintain test architecture for testing large complex databases (our digital maps) and data manipulation/conversion software (our software to create the maps). 
• Define, roll-out (and co-implement) a test strategy which ensures proper test coverage  for component-, unit-,  integration- and production testing and prove this with a quantitative map quality model 
• Convincingly present and deploy test architecture and giving technical direction to software engineers 
• Product owner of in-house developed test tools.

REQUIRED:

• Up-to-date knowledge of database validation of large databases or big data analysis techniques is a MUST 
• BSc degree in computer science or comparable technical field; or experience at that work level 
• Must have recent experience in Linux, C++ (preferably C++11) and SQL-lite; Other skills like Perl or scripting language is preferred. 
• Must have experience with Jenkins, unit testing (Google test) and relevant experience with Cucumber, Robot Framework or similar. 
• Domain knowledge on automotive navigation databases and/or ADAS is an advantage. 
• A hands-on mentality, willing to actively participate in implementation, design and roll-out of the defined improvements 
• Upper-intermediate English 
• Active knowledge of test methods 
• Experience with customer communication on test related subjects
