1. BACKGROUND

Passerelles numériques (PN) is a non-profit organisation providing education, technical and professional training in the digital sector to young underprivileged people by leveraging their potential and willpower. We endeavour to truly develop their employability which will allow them and their families to escape poverty in a sustainable way, and contribute to the social and economic development of their countries.

Established in Cambodia, the Philippines and Vietnam, Passerelles numériques currently trains 513 students and over 1000 already graduated from PN's program. PN employs 96 people based in these three countries including a small team in France.
Passerelles numériques relies on the financial and skills sponsorship of several corporate partners such as Accenture, Econocom-Osiatis, CA Technologies and Microsoft and also receives support from individual donors. Passerelles numériques' website was created in 2012 (using WordPress).

The association has decided to update its website in order to enhance the presentation of its activities and attract even more donors, partners and candidates. Moreover, the current site is not compatible with mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). The aim, therefore, is to have a new basic informative website that can be accessed by mobile 'phone and which provides more dynamic and attractive content (testimonials, presentation of our impact, ease of donation etc.) for our main communication targets (donors, partners, volunteers and candidates). 2. JOB DESCRIPTION 

The volunteer web developer will be working in pairs with a "Web project lead" at Passerelles numériques Cambodia.
The mission will take place during 3 to 4 months, between February and June 2016.

The web developer’s mission will be to:

• carry out a technical analysis to identify, understand and analyze our needs, based on the specifications previously established by the association ; 
• develop a “wordpress” website (with a few customized elements); 
• organize the tests to check that the systems set up function correctly; 
• provide technical assistance by supplying operating manuals. 

3. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS (no specific diplomas requested):

• Very good Wordpress expertise 
• Web development / programing expertise
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and PHP. Notions of JavaScript and SQL. 

QUALITIES: ‒ rigorous ‒ methodical ‒ autonomous ‒ ability to work in a team ‒ adaptable ‒ capable of putting forward strong proposals LANGUAGES: fluent in English. French is a plus
